My name is Lyndie Chiou. I am part scientist, part builder, part explorer.

I attended Caltech for undergrad where I studied applied physics. Afterwards, I went on to MIT for grad school in theoretical physics. I loved it. But after my Masters I wanted a break, so I traveled to Kenya to help some friends start a company. It was very eye-opening to live in another country for a year and to experience a different culture. The startup was unsuccessful (for many reasons) and I returned to work in Silicon Valley in the US. I worked in a wide range of science-related jobs in 5 different companies before taking some time off to focus on my 3 small children. During this time, I also thought about what I would like to do when I returned to work. The answer turned out to be ZeroDivZero, a science website for which I have big dreams…
